General Fund Raising Many volunteer fire departments find it necessary to raise funds from the community on almost a continuous basis. Fund raising seems to now take up most of the time and efforts of volunteer fire departments and is one of the many factors, which discourages the recruitment of new and notably younger firefighters. Some fund raising activities come with up-front expenses and are high risk investments. At VFD-EMS, we've done this all before ourselves, so we know there are various successful ways to plan and to raise funds. We try to put the "FUN" into "FUNdraising", so that fire departments and their members are not so overwhelmed and over-worked with the process. We help you determine which type of fund raising or combination of fund raising may be the most successful to you, with the least effort, the most profits and the least risk. In some cases and with certain types of fund raising, we send staff to your community to directly work with you in the implementation of your successful fund raising campaign.
